Illuminated signage is perfect for making sure your business stands out from the crowd, and is a great way to ensure you outshine your competitors and give a fantastic first impression to your customers.
This is exactly the type of impact we were aiming for with our latest project for The BedShop – a Yorkshire based chain of furniture stores who are currently expanding across the region. The client required a large-scale illuminated sign as well as two smaller signs which were non-illuminated. This was because they needed to replace existing signage at the store they were moving into on a retail Park that had previously been occupied by Brantano.

To gain a better insight into what the ideal solution would be for this particular customer, numerous telephone consultations were carried out so that we could fully understand their needs. After the initial consultations we then attended the client on-site to measure-up for the job, and provided advice about the scope of work, our process, and how we could best fulfil the brief.
We suggested to the client that they increase the size of their main sign, as the fitting frame present at the retail park was ageing and had some rust, so slightly larger sign would obscure this from view of the public. This was a great option for hiding unsightly older metalwork, and tied in nicely within the scope of the project.
We also advised the client that due to the glass canopy, we would need to use a cherry picker to work over the glass. We replaced the existing flex face sign with the new flex face that was 6800 mm wide and 2250 mm high. This was a fully illuminated box that was lit with LEDs – providing a low-voltage solution with a long lifespan that alleviates the need change traditional tubes.
We provided all of the design work and consulted the client on design and layout throughout the entire process. As a result, the client was extremely happy with the project and we are already working with The BedShop on new totem signs for this store!
